It is necessary. During the use of car air conditioners, dust and moisture will accumulate inside the air ducts and evaporation boxes. These impurities are prone to mold, bacteria, and odor. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean the air conditioning system. Especially before using air conditioning in summer and heating in winter, thorough cleaning and maintenance should be carried out. Generally, it should be cleaned every 40000 kilometers. The evaporator and air conditioning outlet should be cleaned, and the air conditioning filter should be replaced after cleaning.
Cleaning methods for automotive air conditioning
1. Find the air inlet of the air conditioner. Some of the air inlets of the car's air conditioner are in the engine compartment or under the wiper. If they cannot be found, turn on the external circulation and stick a tissue to the mouth to test the position of the air inlet.
2. Remove the air conditioning filter, which is usually located in the passenger compartment.
3. Turn on the external circulation, be careful not to turn on the compressor, and adjust the air volume to a moderate level. Those with automatic air conditioning function must turn off the automatic air conditioning.
4. Connect the hose to the nozzle, insert the hose deep into the air inlet of the car's air conditioner, press and stop a few times, and spray about half a bottle.
5. Turn off the air conditioner for a few minutes, wait for the detergent foam to dissolve, then spray all the remaining half bottles, then open the external circulation, open the air volume to the maximum, and blow for a few minutes.
6. Blow out the air conditioning filter, install the air conditioning filter, let it stand for a few minutes, then turn on the hot air for a few minutes to dry, and after cleaning, open the car door for ventilation for 10 minutes.
